COMPANY PROFILE

   Panariello & Co was founded in 1878 is a traditional family company which passed from generation to generation. The company is very well known in Greece as a representative of large foreign firms in the fields of glass constructions and mechanisms, such as Saint-Gobain and Lafarge. It became the first domestic company to import glass window panes through Saint-Gobain.
   Panariello & Co, today is owned from Mr. Theofanis Panariellos which is the president of the company since 1978. Mr. Panariellos has managed through his very good connections with the wholesalers of Glass panes in Greece, to acquire a very respectable percentage of the market for Saint-Gobain glass and all its affiliates. In addition, thank to his deep technical knowledge around the glass industry and through the representation of Saint-Gobain, he has managed to promote rapidly the use of special glasses in the market.
   Before the collaboration with Saint-Gobain which was ended in 1992, the amount of glass which our company was importing to the Greek marked had reached to 30.000 tones.
   As you may know, in the beginning of 1990's Saint-Gobain took the decision to stop all representations in Europe and to establish their own branches.
   In time the company widened its activities through the representation of other firms:
CASMA of Magenta, in Italy, which manufactures floor mechanisms and components for glass doors, plus glass constructions for building facades;

ELETTROMECCANICA BOVONE of Italy, which manufactures glass-pane processing machinery, mirror and bullet-proof glass production lines, and heat-insulation double-glazing production machinery;

APB ANTONIO PIAZZA BREVETTI Srl, Italy. It manufactures glass traverse storage systems;

MAVER GLASS Srl, Italy. It manufactures a complete range of glass cutting tables, that wants to be different from the common ones using new high performance solutions;

MAVER GLASS TOOLS Srl, Italy, which offers tools and accessories for glass processing industries;

METRAL S.A. of Badalona, Spain, which manufactures machinery for the flat glass as: straight and shape edging and bevelling, drilling machines, washing machines, belt machines, notching machine, etc.;

UNIGLASS of Finland that offers to glass processors the most advanced flat tempering technology (flat glass tempering line with forced convection heating);

BELFORT GLASS of Italy, which manufactures glass-pane baths, heat-insulation and soundproofing double-glazing production lines, and diamond wheels for glass processing;

SAINT-GOBAIN VETROTEX INTERNATIONAL S.A. Italy, which manufactures vitreous insulation coatings;

SKG srl, Italy, manufactures CNC machines for glass processing;

INTERPANE of Germany which manufactures state-of-the-art energy saving and ultra-violet-ray protection glass panes;

VETRERIA LONGIANESE of Italy, which manufactures insulating glass for structural glazing;

ARINO DUGLASS of Spain, which manufactures bulletproof and sunlight control glass panes;

LASRY VITRAGE of France, a large wholesaler of all types of glass panes;

GEDASA of Spain, which manufactures metal components and locks for tempered glass doors;

PRECIVER of France, which manufactures fire-proof glass constructions and
ZANIVA of Italy who is manufacturing glass handling & moving equipment.

   The company is in a constant process of development, adjusting to market conditions and seeking new cooperation agreements with high-technology & glass manufacturers.
